Week 7 Term 1 SO FUN!!!!!!

I didn't get around to doing a blog post last week because of the small amount of time but I guess I will just do week 7 and the best bits of week 6.

We met our Makuhari student/billet. His name is Asuki but it is pronounced Aski. Where he comes from his last name is first and his first name is last. So his Japanese name is Sato Asuki. He is really cool and is surprisingly quiet and good at English. He likes our XBOX and watching TV. We watch a series on Netflix called Ultimate Beastmaster. There are 2competitors from six different countries and one of those is Japan. He enjoys that show. He likes Pokémon and loved it as a kid. He is 15 and very well mannered. He has become really like family. He has had cool adventures with his friends from Japan and with us too. He went with his school horse-riding and to Roturua. He also went to Pekerau School to meet some of the younger kids. The first weekend was a rainy mess so we did not do much. This weekend that just happened, we went to Raglan on Saturday and Hamilton on Sunday. Saturday was fun. We went to Bridal Veil Falls and the falls were massive. We went past the windmills and went to Raglan. We played on the Playground and ha lunch, then had a relaxing and exciting 2 and 1/2 hours at the beach. On Sunday we waited for mums roller derby to finish witch took 2 hours. We went to the base and had Asuki's favourite food, Sushi. I learnt that Asuki has balls. He got a whole piece of wasabi that you get with an 8 piece box, and ate it whole. It was hilarious. He kept saying that he was OK, but he ended up crying just a little. We also went to the lake for half an hour to have a little break before we went home.

At school I finally finished my jumper. It looks pretty cool, but not the tidiest. Sewing isn't for everyone. We also went to the disco which was so fun. Everyone was having fun and dancing. Everyone who didn't go, I hope they regret not going because it was probably the best disco yet. My brother even got asked out. It was a really good week.

Term 1 Week 5 Still 2017

This week was in my opinion a short week. Even though school is getting a lot faster, a lot of things happened and I learned from them.

We had a guest speaker that was actually (the woodworks teacher) Mr Graham's nephew, who happens to be a boxer. He told us the basics to boxing, the training, all the skills that go in to it, and his experiences. I learnt that boxing isn't just punching someone in the snot-box, it's also about the skills and training and listening, which my mum says I need to work on. My jersey in tech arts just keeps getting better. All I need now is the hood, the sleeves and to tidy it up at the end. I can't wait to wear it in the winter.

I also entered a writing competition and I am already finished my first draft, even though it is meant to be handed in by April 1. It is amazing what you can come up with in your imagination when you put your mind to it. Friday was Inter-House Swimming Sports. I am a horrible swimmer, like worse than horrible. I am like an underwater snail that doesn't stick to walls, I float and I don't eat fish poo. Although I am bad, I tried my hardest and gave everything a go. Surprisingly, I didn't come last at anything, except my house Mangapiko came last at the whole thing. I think that we can make a great comeback in Summer Games though, even though it is in Autumn.

That was my week. I can't wait until week 6 because our exchange student from Makuhari, Japan is coming and there is so much that we want to show him. Also there is other things happening in week 6 so hit me with your best shot week 6. Until then. Seeya.
